The Keten Insulated Jacket was designed by civil construction workers from Ottawa, Canada. They took aspects of the jackets they were previously using, and modified the design to suit the conditions they were working in. You will notice features like, a face covering hood to protect from wind, bungee chord instead of draw strings for added safety, adjustable waist straps, and arm gussets for maximum mobility. The insulation of the jacket is designed to be thinner than a traditional insulated work jacket, not only to reduce that annoying bulky feeling, but allow the user to wear in multiple seasons. By keeping the insulation thinner, it allows the user to layer up during winter months, and not overheat during warmer months.
